Screen Sizes

Three main dimensions to screen size are:

• Height of Screen
• Width of Screen
• Distance from floor of stage to bottom of screen

Bigger is better in a lot of instances, however, in order to determine the screen width and size the folloing are good starting points:

Small audiences (70 or under): Screen height should be at least 1/2 the distance from the screen to the first row.

Larger Audiences: Screen width should be at least 1/5 the distance from the screen to the back row.

Distance from stage floor to bottom of screen: Minimum of 4 ft., screen should be higher with larger audiences to ensure that the bottom of the screen is visible to the front half of the audience.
